Housewarming update

Just to note, there appears to be a conflict with the Seattle International Beerfest that weekend. However, it looks like we're still going to go ahead, since the beerfest starts on Friday, and the housewarming is on Saturday; and everyone knows that Friday is the best day to go, since many of the most interesting beers are usually gone Friday evening.

There are some other issues as well, but there shouldn't be a problem getting those sorted out before the 30th.

Address and directions, including info on appropriate bus lines and schedules, will be posted with the final reminder earlier that week.

Dead Car

Looks like the van is pretty well dead right now. As far as I can tell, it's just the water pump, but unfortunately, being a late-'80s Ford, it's pretty much impossible to do something as simple as replacing a water pump without removing a whole lot of other components, requiring specialized tools, to get at it.

Anyone know a reasonably-priced and reliable mechanic in the Leschi/Central District/First Hill area? (And since I know someone will do this, please don't suggest someone outside that range, since there's no way I can drive it any farther than that, and I can't afford the exhorbitant towing prices that towers in this town charge).
