New Orleans - It just gets worse

So to update comments made previously...

It looks like the reason that the police didn't keep a handle on the looting wasn't only because they were restricted from responding with lethal force; but because the police themselves were looting. Those responsible for keeping order, and assisting survivors were, instead, were descending to the level of criminal scum themselves. It's one thing for ordinary citizens to do this, but for police?

I just don't have the words. This saddens and sickens me more than I can express.
